We're hosting our annual Alternative Spring Break between April 14-18, 2025. This is a week of volunteer opportunities to engage in forest management and clean ups throughout Howard County.

This year we're offering job interviews for the READY program during all available volunteer events for Alt Spring Break. This is a great opportunity to get a taste of the work our conservation crews perform, to meet our current crew, and receive a job interview at the same time.

How to reserve a spot: 

• Visit our Alternative Spring Break page to see our menu of opportunities. Each location is on a different day and time slot and may have different activities based on the needs of the site. 

• Choose a location you'd like to volunteer for and complete the registration process. 

• During registration, select "yes" if you'd like to have an interview. 

• We still strongly suggest you fill out our online application, you are also welcomed to bring a resume with you.
