  • Flowers: Produces large, tulip-shaped flowers in late spring to early summer. Flowers are striped yellow, orange, and light greenish yellow, and are slightly fragrant.

  • Host Plant: Host for tiger swallowtail butterfly caterpillars, only host for tuliptree silkmoth caterpillars.
